Starting out with the odd commissioned portrait-bust Samantha continues to occaisonally take on these projects though, like many artists, has evolved past the desire to merely represent the figure as most sitters would have the artist do, preferring to attempt to transcend the image and create a sculpture that will survive the sitter.
